Quote of the Week
"To the enlightened Brahmin, all of the Vedas are of no more use than is a small well in a place flooded with water on every side."
Bhagavad-Gita 2-46
Commentary: To those who are enlightened, who have realized their oneness with God, all of the teachings of the world, religious or otherwise, are of no use to them. Who would value more water if they are surrounded by it on every side? Likewise who would value knowledge when the Source of all knowledge, wisdom and compassion is permanently embedded in their awareness? What could they want for when they already have everything! This is the fortune of the enlightened, that they walk on Earth but live in the constant unity consciousness of God, appreciating everything as a unique aspect of God and also of themselves.

One of my all-time favorite movies! Not only is the acting excellent, but the story line addresses some very fundamental topics such as: our origins, life and the after life, God, evolution, the value of scientific evidence, and more, not with a lot of complicated jargon, but with clear logic and a layperson's perspective that is easily understandable and relatable. The story is brilliant, original, beautiful and captivating, all that you could ask for from a feel-good movie.
