Events for
April 10 - 12th, 2026

Quote of the Week
There never was a time when I was not, nor you, nor these rulers of men.  Nor will there ever be a time when all of us shall cease to be.
Bhagavad-Gita 2.12

Commentary:   In the previous verse, Lord Krishna gave Arjuna the wisdom that would permanently eliminate grief from anyone's experience; and in this verse He proceeds to further expound on the reason why the wise grieve neither for the dead or the living; it is simply because they understand that all things are immortal.  The Lord is the Source of all that exists so everything is but an aspect or expression His inherent immortality.  This understanding removes any justification for grief for it establishes the inherent permanence of everything in creation.  The fundamental principle is that even though things appear to change, they are in fact only individualized expressions of the Lord transforming from one superficial form to another.  This is exactly what we experience in our dreams, where our dream characters are but individual expressions of our individual consciousness.  This understanding does not exemplify the use of grief to transition from one state of being to another, but it does exemplify that it is unnecessary.
