Quote of the Week
"One who is in union with the Divine and who knows the truth will maintain: "I do not act at all." In seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, eating, walking, sleeping, breathing, speaking, letting go, seizing, and even in opening and closing the eyes, he holds simply that the senses act among the objects of the senses.
Bhagavad-Gita 5.8, 9
Commentary: These two verses describe the state of those who are in union with the Divine--they do not act at all; it is only their senses which act among the objects of their senses. The senses only recognize and automatically interact with what they perceive, they need no help from us to do this: the sense of hearing interacts with sound; the sense of smell with fragrances; the sense of touch with contact, etc. Therefore, we do not act at all, we only extend the actions of the senses by interpreting and responding to what they perceive. But those who know the truth (that action is a function of the senses) neither interpret or respond to what their senses perceive, nor do they claim authorship for extending such actions because they are in union with the Divine--this is the art of "non-action, of stillness, of Being!" Peace be with you!

Movie Quote: "Dreams feel real while we're in them, its only when we wake up
do we realize that something was actually strange."
It is said in the Bible that Adam fell into a deep sleep, but nowhere does it say that he awoke from his dreaming. The incredible implication is that we must all still be dreaming; hummmm? This movie takes a look at the phenomenon of dreaming and investigates the possibilities of dreaming: How can you tell when you are dreaming? What are the limits of the dream world? What happens when you die in a dream, do you wake up to reality or to another dream? This movie explores all of this with mind-bending special effects that push the limits of perception. This is a movie worth seeing and contemplating; its one incredible roller coaster ride.
Hope to see you there! ☺
