Commentary: The fundamental nature of God and all that exists is immortality. We are never born, nor do we ever die, we simply transition in and out of various states of being. Birth in this sense is like an actor getting the chance to play a different character in a new play or movie; death likewise is the actor transitioning from his current role into a new one. Another analogy would be like one changing into a bathing suit to attend a pool party, then into a casual evening wear for a dinner party. Even though we change from one body suit body to another according to the life circumstances we wish to experience, we remain our immortal Selves, unaffected by the apparent superficial bodily changes.
