Movie Night
Movie: The Farthest
Date: Friday, May 17th, 2019
Time: 8:00pm (optional: bring a dish or snack)
Written and Directed by: Emer Reynoldsr
Genre: Drama, Documentary
Length: 120 min
The Farthest documents one of humankind's greatest achievements. More than 12 billion miles away a tiny spaceship is leaving our Solar System and entering the void of deep space - the first human-made object ever to do so. Launched in August 1977, Voyager has defied all the odds, survived countless near misses and almost 40 years later continues to beam revolutionary information across unimaginable distances with less computing power than a modern hearing aid. It's estimated that Voyager's nuclear generator will last another decade before the lights finally go out. But this little craft will travel on for millions of years, , The Farthest will inspire even the most grounded of viewers to look up in wonder ... once in a while..
Hope to see you there! ☺

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (born Mahesh Prasad Varma, 12 January 1918 – 5 February 2008) was an Indian guru, known for developing the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique and for being the leader of the worldwide TM organization. Maharishi means "great seer," Mahesh means destroyer of ignorance, and a Yogi is one who is structured in unity. Maharishi's guru was Swami Brahmananda Saraswati, the Shankaracharya (spiritual leader) of Jyotirmath in the Indian Himalayas . In 1955, the Maharishi introduced his Transcendental Meditation to India and the world and it has since been taught to well over five million people worldwide.

Group Meditation and Satsang Retreat
From 1:00 - 6:00pm
at
61 Prospect Ave. 4th Floor
Binghamton, NY 13901
Meditation is the most effective means for significant beneficial change in our lives and in the world, simply because it facilitates access to the deeper layers of our true Self--the source of our being. And since practicing in groups significantly increases the effects (see research), please take advantage of this opportunity to dive deeper and marinate longer in the blissful silence of meditation.
The day will consist mostly of sitting meditation punctuated by:
walking meditation, relaxation, sound meditation, pranayama, gentle asanas, Satsang, and a light vegan Soup-du-jour.
Join-in at any time;
stay for as long as you would like and
invite your friends along; the more the merrier!
Donations welcomed
