Raja Yoga Class and Satsang
Raja
Yoga is the royal yoga that brings the nature of our True Self to our
awareness. This awareness cannot be gained through perception or
intellectual knowledge, it can only be known through cognition, like the
knowledge that I am, that I exist, it needs no proof, but without this
knowing, experience remains limited and misunderstood. Come join us as
we explore our True Self through:
Silence, Meditation, Breathing, and gentle relaxing Postures.

Sacred Sound Evening
Wednesday October 22, 2014
at
Portfolio’s Café – 6- 8 pm
137 Washington St, Binghamton, NY 13901
The sounds and vibrations of singing bowls, gongs and chimes guide us into a deep meditation. The healing vibrations pass through our body, opening blockages and allowing our minds to quiet. A wide range of ancient world traditions from Confucianism to the Pythagoreans’ claimed that sound could not only “tune the soul” but affect our cosmological & social worlds as well. The physiological impact of sound on the body, emotions & cognition is apparent. Through the vibrations of these instruments we experience an inner calm and deep relaxation that enables us to journey within and center.
The café will be set with candles and if you want to bring a mat or blanket please do so.
This evening is all about rest and relaxation as Jeff guides us into stillness and bliss.
If you want to eat happy with us please arrive early -the café will be open at 5 pm.
Cost: Free-will donation
