The Four Noble Truths YouTube Trailer

Lecture by:  His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso
Genre:  Drama
Length:  137 min

With a wise introduction by Robert Thurman and a great translation, the Dalai Lama gives a superb lecture on the foundational teachings of Buddhism, the Four Noble Truths!  This lecture occurred at Barbicon Hall in London.  The Four Noble Truths are the core of all of Buddhism. They are: (1) We suffer, not only active anguish but wide-ranging dissatisfaction and unease.  (2) The origin of this suffering is our clinging, desire and attachments.  (3) There is an End to suffering.  (4) That pathway out of suffering is the Eightfold Path.

Hope to see you there!  ☺

Anthony Paul Moo-Young, known as Mooji, was born on 29 January 1954 in Port Antonio, Jamaica.   Mooji is a direct disciple of Sri Harilal Poonja, the renowned Advaita master, or Papaji.  Since 1999, Mooji has been sharing Satsang in the form of spontaneous encounters, retreats, Satsang intensives and one-to-one meetings with the many seekers who visit him, from all parts of the world, in search of the direct experience of truth. Few amongst the modern teachers of the Advaita tradition expound the 'knowledge of Self', and the method of self-inquiry, with such dazzling clarity, love, and authority.  His style is direct, clear, compassionate and often humorous.

Raja Yoga and Satsang

Raja Yoga is the royal yoga that brings the nature of our True Self to our awareness.  This awareness cannot be gained through perception or intellectual knowledge, it can only be known through cognition, like the knowledge that I am, that I exist, it needs no proof, but without this knowing, the experience remains limited and misunderstood.  Come join us as we explore our True Self through:
Silence, Meditation, Breathing, and gentle relaxing Postures.

Group Meditation and Satsang Retreat
Sunday, January 20th
From 1:00 - 6:00pm
at
61 Prospect Ave. 4th Floor
Binghamton, NY 13901

Meditation is the most effective means for significant beneficial change in our lives and in the world, simply because it facilitates access to the deeper layers of our true Self--the source of our being.  And since practicing in groups significantly increases the effects, please take advantage of this opportunity to dive deeper and marinate longer in the blissful silence of meditation.

The day will consist mostly of sitting meditation punctuated by:
walking meditation, relaxation, sound meditation, pranayama, gentle asanas, Satsang, and a light vegan Soup-du-jour.

Join-in at any time;
stay for as long as you would like and
invite your friends along; the more the merrier!

Donations Welcomed
