I know what you're thinking... "How on earth is this a "Spiritual" movie.  Well I gotta tell you that it qualifies simply because it asks and provides an answer to the most important and enigmatic question of all "Who am I."   The answer to this question is the Holy Grail of the human experience. It is our raison de eter.  It is simultaneously our greatest quest and the one thing that once we fully understand or at least improve our current understand -- will lead us to an experience of life that is infinitely more joyful and fulfilling that anything we can now imagine. The movie invites us to R E M E M B E R who we are so that we can better know and understand our purpose.
....Hope  to see you there.

Raja Yoga and Satsang
Raja Yoga is the royal yoga that brings the nature of our True Self to our awareness.  This awareness cannot be gained through perception or intellectual knowledge, it can only be known through cognition, like the knowledge that I am, that I exist, it needs no proof, but without this knowing, the experience remains limited and misunderstood.  Come join us as we explore our True Self through:

7:30 - 9:30pm
at
Vishnu's Couch Yoga Studio
61 Prospect Ave.  Binghamton.

Movie Night
Movie:  Peaceful Warrior
Date:    Friday, September 23rd, 2016
Time:   8:00pm   (optional:  bring a dish or snack)
Optional:    Yoga and the Movie   ...  Yoga from 5:30 - 7:30

Peaceful Warrior:  Youtube Trailer

Starring:  Nick Nolte, Scott Mechlowicz, Ashton Holmes, BJ Britt, Amy Smart
Director:  Victor Salva
Writers:   Kevin Bernhardt (screenplay), Dan Millman (novel)
Running Time:  120 min
Genre:  Drama, SCi Fi

Dan is an arrogant but talented young gymnast who becomes intrigued by a seemingly super human old man named Socrates, who is about to open Dan's awareness to a much larger world of inner peace, strength and harmony available to us in every moment much like Yoda did for Luke Skywalker.  It is a story of the journey to enlightenment, that shatters every preconceived notion and introduces us to a whole new ideology--one that values peace over conflict, consciousness over intelligence, strength in spirit over strength in body, and asks us to let go of all expectations and simply live in the now.
