Knowledge Cinema
by Dr. John Hagelin

John Samuel Hagelin is the leader of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) movement in the United States. He is president of the Maharishi University of Management (MUM) in Fairfield, Iowa, and honorary chair of its board of trustees.  The university was established in 1973 by the TM movement's founder, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, to deliver a "consciousness-based education".  A physicist by training, Hagelin was a researcher at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) in the early 1980s. He has argued that the supersymmetric flipped SU(5) model, a unified field theory that he helped to develop, is identical to the "unified field of consciousness" posited by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. This view is highly controversial among physicists.  He has also been a three-time candidate for U.S. President.

The world needs peace, and NOW!  What can we do to help facilitate this desperate need to reduce conflict in our selves, our communities, and our world?  Meditation for peace is one simple, effective and proven answer! (see short video)  This approach to creating world peace is called the Maharishi Effect and was pioneered by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi creator of the Transcendental Meditation Technique.  It is based on the principle that all of creation is connected at the deepest levels of Nature, that we are all part of one eternal Source, and that the human mind is capable of contacting that Source through the practice of Meditation.  The bigger the groups, the bigger the beneficial effects for everyone.

Please join us on this occasion to enliven the unified field of consciousness and help bring about the peace we so desperately need!  Bring your own yoga mat, blanket, and/or any other prop you need to be comfortable.

Donations gladly appreciated
